CHAPTER 31 - RETURN THE BETA

“Yes, this is my wish,” I declared, sealing my request with a brief kiss. He stood up, stepping over his sister, not caring about her presence on the floor.

“Don't humiliate yourself so much for a man, Victoria, it's ridiculous to witness!” He looked at me with contempt. “Get up, if they haven't killed him, I'll bring him back!”

Victoria abruptly got up from the floor, holding her mouth shut to contain her despair.

“Would they dare to kill your Beta and provoke your wrath?” I asked fearfully.

“It's a war. In their place, I would torture him for information and then kill him,” he said, his eyes meeting mine.

“Harvey, this doesn't help us.” I pleaded with courtesy and firmness. “Please, bring Oliver back before they kill him.”

He nodded and left, leaving me with his sister, who remained motionless, unable to react to what had just happened.

“It will be alright, Victoria, he will bring him back safely!” I tried to comfort her as I placed my hand on her shoulder.
