Chapter 27

Maya's pov

The sound of my alarm clock going off practically sent me into cardiac arrest as well I suddenly jumped out of bed.

"Argh!" I groaned in pain as I held my head in my hands, trying to massage the pain away.

Just how much did I have to drink last night?

I thought.

A whole lot.

My wolf said sarcastically.

"Shut up!" I groaned, still massaging my temples, trying to ease the banging headache that was threatening to take my head.

Just then the memories of what had transpired at the bar came rushing to the surface and I cringed at all I had said to Micah.

My face turned bright red and I felt like screaming into my pillow. So I did.

My alarm went off once more and I shot out of bed and dismissed it.

"For crying out loud!"

I yelled in frustration and groaned almost at the same time.

Quickly, I walked over to the bathroom to wash my face and as soon as I was done, I left my room and emerged in the kitchen.

"Hey, Maya," my aunt's voice came from the Kitchen entrance, startling me.
