Nite said that four of his friends would pick me up, and they were on time. I didn’t ask their names but hearing them talking, I got to know them one by one.

Stan was the one who led this transportation, Cleoff was the one who drove, and the two, Shane and Lee, were sitting on my left and right sides.

I was totally nervous, especially being treated as a criminal that needed to be hauled from one place to another. The security they provided made me feel more frightened than safe. I closed my eyes and breathed in profoundly… the outcome of what I did because I stupidly connived with Nite is blowing to my face. This is my fault, as this is what anger and hatred gave me.

No one is talking among the four, and the silence deafens me. But who cares? I just need to go back to California, and then I can clear it all out. I need to clear Trace’s name. I need to… I can’t let him be accused of something he didn’t do.
