Chapter 81

Ryder's POV

I placed my legs on my stirrups and was about to lift myself onto my horse when it suddenly came to me that Aria did not know how to mount a horse. I quickly left mine and rushed to Aria's side to help her but then saw that she was already on the horse.

"What's the matter, Ryder?" she asked with a smile that displayed her perfect milk white teeth as she turned to me. "Is there any problem?"

"No, not really," I said, smiling as I slowly shook my head. "I thought your climbing the horse was going to be like yesterday."

"Oh," Aria said as her cheeks flushed. She grabbed onto the reins of her horse and shrugged as she said, "I guess riding the gentle beast once made me accustomed to it. I really am actually a fast learner."

"Yeah," I said, a soft chuckle escaping my lips as I stared at Aria. "You... you really are, aren't you?" Aria kept her eyes on mine for a few seconds before blushing again. She tucked a stray strand of her hair neatly behind her ears and shrugged again.
