Two Strangers.

The dim light in the room made it a bit easy to see. These days she kept her curtains closed and the lamp, off. Today, she felt switching on a candle would be better. She had been in bed all day, doing nothing but mope. Her door moved slowly, and the dim light barely made it easy to see the lady's face. The woman who had birthed her, but now, it felt like they were two strangers meeting for the first time. Lina had walked in, without the tiniest courtesy of knocking.

Ever since the issues with Ava, her family treated her like a complete outcast, her dad not excluded. They avoided her like a plague. The only activity that brought them together as a family, was eating at the dinning table. On most days, she would have her meal upstairs in her room. She decided to tag along to Ava's audition, not because she was invited but she felt like going.

Rolling her eyes and heaving a deep sigh, she rolled to the other end of the bed. Her back was turned to Carolina,
