The Hidden Darkness

Brixlee was finally leaving the hospital after she had been there for two weeks. Those two weeks had been great for her. Nathan had visited her at the hospital everyday during those two weeks and Xavier mostly came to visit during night time to read her bed time stories. Her grandpa came to visit with different elders from the elderly home on different occasions and Tyler would always bring her different flavors of pies every afternoon and he would sometimes bring his girlfriend Samantha without Xavier’s knowledge. And although, she wasn’t happy that all the exceptional love and attention she was receiving from different angles were coming to an end, she was happy to be going home to her new apartment.

As she zipped her bag, she folded the duvet and placed it on the hospital bed, lost in thought. She hadn’t heard anything from the old man who had caused her near death experience
