A Shocking Discovery

A week had gone by and everyone had been living their normal lives. Brixlee had gotten her paycheck a week ago and now she had finally gotten the apartment she had so wished for all her life and she was moving that day. She could finally bring her grandpa from the elderly home to live with her.

The sun bathed the street in a warm golden glow, casting a welcoming hue over the scene. Birds chirped merrily in the nearby trees, seemingly aware of her newfound joy. This was the beginning of a new chapter in her life, and she couldn't wait to settle into her new place.

As she stood there, taking in the scenery, a steady rumble reached her ears, growing louder with each passing moment. Turning her head, Brixlee saw a large moving truck pulling up alongside her building. Bright blue and emblazoned with the name of a well-known moving company, the truck came to a stop with a hissing of brakes.
