Brixlee’s awe grew as she observed the intensity shared between Nathan and Allison, their familiarity and closeness drawing forth a painful realization. It was a reminder of the boundaries that existed, ones she had not dared to cross.

“I think I’ll leave now, Mr Grey” she said as she walked away before Nathan could say anything.

Allison watched as Brixlee left, and couldn't help but notice the glances exchanged between her and Nathan. Suspicion crept into her mind, leaving her with a sense of unease.

She turned to Nathan.”Who was that? I saw her at your office the other day as well” she asked, her voice tinged with concern as she ran her hand through Nathan’s hair.

“She’s Brixlee, my secretary” Nathan replied leading Allison to the car.

As they entered the car, Allison's eyes narrowed, her concern growing. "I couldn't help but notice the connection between you and Brixlee just now. Is there something you're not telling me?"
