Exposing Jeremy

Olivera shuddered as she felt the cord that bonded her and Vee. She looked down at her new guard, and smiled at him giddily. “Did you feel that?”

Vee nodded, and stood on his feet.

He was way taller than her. Olivera mused, taking stock of this new Vee that was never to disappear from her sight anymore, forever, until she dies. “Do you die?”

Vee chuckled, the sound bouncing off the room. “Of course. I am not an eternal creature. As a matter of fact, part of the agreement is that your death means mine.”

Olivera scrunched her face. She didn’t want that.

“Don’t bother regretting it. The deed has already been done. And besides, it's my duty. So, if you want me hale and hearty, don’t give me much trouble by disappearing on me, or giving me heartache when you disobey commands.”

Olivera huffed. Already bossy? She didn’t know guards could be bossy. She had seen the way that Raul was with his subordinates.

‘You can be that way, if you choose.’ Verity opined, but Olivera shook her head.
