A SURPRISE HE DIDN'T EXPECT.

“What happened? Is anything wrong?” She asked when she discovered I wasn't moving from my initial position.

“No, nothing, nothing's wrong. Everything is fine and no, I didn't overwork myself at the office today”. I lied.

Why did I lie? I didn't want her to be sad about the way I overworked myself because I knew that if I told her, she won't be happy about it so I lied?

“Alright then, I made you dinner already. Why don't you go and freshen up then when you're done I'll bring your food to your room”. She said as she took my briefcase to my room.

I just followed suit with a blank expression on my face. When we got to my room, she dropped the briefcase on a table and left the room.

I removed my suit and went to have my bath. Immediately I was done and I came out of the bathroom, I saw her in my room sitting on the couch like she had been waiting for me.
