A MISUNDERSTANDING.

Ares.

Why was she here? My office is in a mess. I looked around to see different files scattered here and there, stationary all over the floor, and some pieces of shattered glass.

I was still looking at my unrecognizable office and thinking of what to do when she entered my office.

Her eyes shone in horror as she looked at me. I wondered why she was looking at me and not at the mess in my office.

I traced which part of my body her eyes were focused on and I found out she was staring at my fist. It was bloody.

I hadn't realized I had injured my fist when I slammed it on the table earlier in annoyance. But that couldn't have left a bruise, would it?

Ohhh I also hit my fist on the wall, why did I do that even?

“What happened to your hand? Why is it bruised?” I heard Winnifred say as she dropped her bag and came to my side, taking my hand in hers.

“It's nothing”. I said curtly as I removed my hand from hers.

I could see tears welling up in her eyes and I wondered why
