Gwen's POV

Attorney Fredrick.

Is Andrew also here with him? That was the only thing that came to mind at that time. I had faced enough humiliation for the day and I am not sure I could handle another.

"Gwendolyn, how are you doing?" Attorney Fredrick asked, placing his hands on my shoulder.

"I am sorry about your loss, dear," he said with a warm smile. "She was a good woman," he added.

I wrapped my hands around my stomach to conceal my pregnancy. I was certain Andrew had not told him about it because he denied being responsible.

Attorney Fredrick's judgment was the last thing I wanted.

Jane, who was fully aware of the situation, politely said “ We were leaving Mr Fredrick, please excuse us”.

“Leaving? To where?” Attorney Frederick asked curiously.

I was still sobbing uncontrollably and didn't utter a single word to him. Deep down I knew what he thought about me, a cheat and his son's ex wife.

What he did not know was that my parents had severed all ties with me.
