"What's this?"

"A ring?" I chuckled.

After having a private moment with Russell, I finally told her. Even though I have some doubts about how she feels, I know that this is her way of not overwhelming me too much. Dad and Russell have the same attitude, which might be why they get along.

She looked at the sales clerk, who looked at us. "What for?" she asked with a scowl. "We're married, and I already have a ring."

"I know. But this one will show your love for me."

"There is no need for that," Russell said. "Don't buy; let's just enjoy today, okay?"

I gave the woman her ring back and looked at Russell. "It's still early; it's only 10 in the morning."

"Don't you have any work to do? I know you are busy today because of Professor Montero and Professor Alcantara."
