Chapter 84: Hiding

Daniel's POV

"Ugh!"

I whined as we fell on top of the car. I hugged Russell when she was on top of me. Russell and I were almost deaf because the car alarm was so loud. I felt pain in my shoulder, and it looked like it was bleeding again.

"Damn, that alarm!" I said. I was irritable. I looked at Russell and stopped hugging him.

"Baby, are you alright?" I asked, worried.

Russell looked at me with teary eyes and a frown. "Damn it, are you attempting to murder me?"

"Huh. I'll die before you, babe."

"Here they are!"

Russell and I looked at the third floor, where our pursuers were. I stood up quickly, although my back and shoulders hurt greatly. I got out of the car and helped Russell get out.

"Do you have your car with you?" I said as we quickly walked away from there. I can't run because my back hurts at the hip.

"Are you forgetting that I don't know how to drive?" Russell said. "Ryan just drove me here."
