He began to slant closer, and I shut my eyes, waiting for his lips to smash into mine but the sound of the door opening made me fly my eyes open.

I quickly looked beyond me and my eyes nearly popped out of their sockets when I saw Aunt Linda standing with a baffled expression on her face.
