Chapter 35

DIEGO

Before my eyes, Pedro pulled Carla into his arms for a hug, embracing her before all.

"Thank you so much, Carla. I love you," He said, squeezing her close.

I stared at this in shock, wondering if I was imagining things or not.

But when I saw Carla embracing Pedro back, my heart came all heavy just watching her burying herself in his hold.

My whole body was heating up at this scene with my heart beating fast in anger.

I tightened my hands into a fist, hearing everyone clapping hands for both Pedro and Carla, celebrating their reunion.

"See, there was no need to get all mad," Mrs Parker said to me.

But I was too furious to digest anybody's words.

"And you said she doesn't love him any..."

In rage, I stormed away, cutting father halfway in his words, as he began calling me back, which I refused to listen.

I went in through the path away from the Hall, walking with speed.

"Diego!" Father kept calling my name from behind, but I was too mad to stop and face him.
