Chapter Thirty
Arianna had expected the ride to the venue to be awkward but it turned out to be the opposite. Alexander was quite a good conversationalist. He kept her involved in random conversations and to her surprise, he made her laugh a couple of times. She got to know that he was quite a funny person. It was so hard to believe that Alexander Clay had this cool side. A side no one ever saw.
Arianna watched as Alex pulled up into a quiet but beautiful estate. After a few minutes' drive, the car came to a stop in front of a not-so-big bungalow house.
"I own many properties across the state and this is one of the smallest but also one of my favorite places. I hope you like it here." Alex said as he unbuckled his seat belt.

Alexander Clay was seated on the tiled bathroom floor with his back resting against the cabinet. He was shirtless and was putting on a pajamas trouser which was soaked with blood. The left knee of the trouser was ripped open. It was obvious that the blood came from the knee. Stains of blood could also be seen on Alexander's chest and stomach; his hands were not left out too.With tears rolling down from her cheeks, Arianna dashed to where Alex was and crouched beside him."Alex?" She panicked as she cupped his face in her shaky hands. His eyes were closed and she could see the stained tears on his face. The Next Day! (Saturday)Alexander Clay slowly opened his eyes. His eyes met with the alarm clock on the nightstand and he saw that it was already 5 pm.
