Beatrice's worried expression was replaced with that of relief the moment she set her eyes on Arianna. Unconsciously, her lips slowly curved into a smile when she saw Kaylee's hands intertwined in Ari's own.
"Sorry we took so long," Arianna said, the moment they got to the table. Emily was already sitting beside Beatrice which was where Kaylee was previously seated. So Kaylee had to sit beside Arianna. Ari helped her get on the chair and then took her seat.

Arianna was beyond shocked as she stood still and processed all that Alexander said. To be honest, she had expected him to give lame reasons. Arianna swallowed painfully, hoping to ease some tension in her. As every second passed by, it became harder not to react to Alexander's presence. Arianna had expected the ride to the venue to be awkward but it turned out to be the opposite. Alexander was quite a good conversationalist. He kept her involved in random conversations and to her surprise, he made her laugh a couple of times. She got to know that he was quite a funny person. Alexander Clay was seated on the tiled bathroom floor with his back resting against the cabinet. He was shirtless and was putting on a pajamas trouser which was soaked with blood. The left knee of the trouser was ripped open. It was obvious that the blood came from the knee. Stains of blood could also be seen on Alexander's chest and stomach; his hands were not left out too.With tears rolling down from her cheeks, Arianna dashed to where Alex was and crouched beside him."Alex?" She panicked as she cupped his face in her shaky hands. His eyes were closed and she could see the stained tears on his face. Ari unconsciously heaved a sigh of relief when she unintentionally saw his chest rise and fall.
