"W-What are you saying?" Celestine said in disbelief after hearing what Lander had said. She could hardly believe it.

From the beginning, she becomes honest about how she felt about Lander. He knows that she can't reciprocate the love he's giving so when she heard what he said, she couldn't make herself believe it because it seemed like Lander didn't accept her rejection of him before, something she didn’t expect he would do.
