Chapter Twenty XVII

It would much bravery to fight back his father which he didn't do. Cowardice engulfed him that for a couple of minutes since his father left, he got stuck to where Venedict left him. He did not move nor switch places, he just stood there, against the same wall where his father pushed him, while he's still processing everything that his father said to his mind.

As he was slowly absorbing things, he start to regret taking Celestine and involving her in the cruelty of the mafia. If he could just turn back the time, he wouldn't have taken her. If he only do that, Celestine's life wouldn't be in danger and the things in the past wouldn't unfold like what Vladimir wanted.

But even though he regrets things and blames himself for everything it'll be impossible to change what already happened in the past and the only thing he can do was to make a decision now to keep Celestine safe, even though it means she has to hate him.

Preoccupied with his thoughts, Vincent did not
