Chapter 2

Aurora Emily Estrella P.O.V 

I got up immediately from my bed when my stomach suddenly started to boil and I was really sick. I held my mouth as I ran to the cr of my room.

"Aurora?"

I'm still throwing up in my bowl, actually I can't vomit because I haven't eaten anything yet, this is probably one of the symptoms they say you'll feel when you're pregnant. I feel really bad right now, You force yourself to throw up even though you haven't really vomited anything yet because I haven't really eaten anything and my stomach is empty.

I just held my breath then I mopped and washed myself. When I finished doing this, I immediately went out to the cr.

"Aurora? Are you okay? Will you open the door?" My eyes widened when I heard the voice of my older sister, Ate Amber. I quickly adjusted my appearance and opened the door for her. "It took you a while to open it, it's late. Why haven't you gotten dressed yet?" She frowned when she asked me.

"Because I'm feeling bad, Sister, maybe I'll just enter the second subject first." I answered her. Her face immediately showed concern. She immediately put her hand on my forehead and neck, looking like she was checking to see if I was really hot or something.

"You're not hot. Do you feel bad?" I nodded at her. She nodded. "Come on, you're going downstairs and we're going to eat, Mommy is calling you because it's late. Take your medicine after we eat, do you understand?" I nodded again at what she said.

I said I'll just take care of myself to which she nodded and then said goodbye and told me to come down right away because Mommy might scold me because I took so long.

I was also able to fix myself quickly, I wasn't even able to put on make up anymore because Mommy would really scolded me off.

"Tell that to your daughter, Israel! She wakes up at noon, it would be good if she stayed up to study but she doesn't! That's why her grades will drop! It's so embarrassing!" That was the opening for me when I came down.

"Don't worry and I'll tell her. You're too easy on that one. I'm telling you don't let her go out and just study here, see what else she's doing? She's still getting to party and go to the bar. It's also your fault why your daughter is acting like that." Daddy answered. I just bowed to what I heard. I just want to go back to my room and stay there all day. I just want to cry everything I heard.

I didn't really cry before when I heard things like that, I'm used to those things, I used to eat them almost every day in the morning. Maybe I'm just sensitive right now that's why I feel like I'm in tears right now.

I didn't spend much time listening to them and went out from where I came from and showed them.

"Oh, so you've finally arrived? Do you know what time it is? You can't give good results for your grades and you still have the courage to show up in your class?" That's what Mommy said when she saw me approaching the table. I just bowed and sat in my seat. I don't even want to answer because I'm getting tired of her.

"Mom, just leave Aurora alone, she's feeling bad. What you're saying to her is too heavy." I just want to cry when I hear that Ate Amber defends me. In truth, she is the only one who is really my ally in this family. He is the only one who understands me. That's it. I'm still happy because at least someone like her always understands me.

"There's nothing wrong with what I said, Amber! I'm just telling the truth. Is it my fault that your sister isn't studying well? I don't know where she got that from and you and Ivan both studied law well, so I don't know why your sister did that."

"That's enough, let's just eat. That's later." That's all Daddy said then he started eating. I just sighed and stared at the food in front of me. I don't feel like eating but I still have to eat because later maybe my mother could say something bad about me.

I started to pick up something to eat, I only took a little because I didn't have any appetite. I stopped getting fried rice because I didn't like the smell of it.

"What are you doing? If you don't take it, take your hand off. Someone else wants to take rice." I looked at Mommy when she said that. I immediately withdrew my hand and went to get something else to eat.

"Are you okay? Do you have no appetite?" Ate Amber asked, I just shook my head when she asked that.

"I'm fine, Sister. I will eat."

"Yes, you should. You need to take medicine after you eat." I just nodded at her and started eating.

Our meal was also quiet until we finished. Mommy gave me another look before she stood up and left. I just held my breath. Kuya Ivan also said goodbye to which I nodded.

"Take medicine, you understand me?"

"Yes Sister."

"If you really can't go to school, just rest. Don't understand what Mommy is saying. She's too hot-headed because of her client." I just nodded at her and thought that Mommy's attitude is really like that.

"Thank you sister, take care." That's all I said before kissing her on the cheek. She just nodded at me and left.

I just smiled when I was left alone, I’m still grateful because I have one sister who accepts for who I am, she’s really my only ally in this house and others look down on me. So somehow, I still have the strength to stay even though it looks like I’m not really welcome in this household anymore.
