The Choosing

Natalia's POV

I laughed and giggled so much as Aaron used me as a weight. He did it so effortlessly that one would think that I would weigh the same as a feather, and he did it so many times. I feared I was going to fall at first, but I eventually relaxed and began to enjoy it. After a while, he put me down and placed a kiss on my lips.

"I need to tell you something." He said, drawing my attention, and I raised a brow in question.

"What is it?"

"I have been invited to the silverfur pack. The Alpha will be handing over to his son. He wants to retire, so there will be a handover ceremony. He would also be holding a separate ceremony the next day to choose a Luna."

My eyes widened. It had been long I heard of such ceremony. It is known as 'The choosing'. When I was little, my nursery teachers used to tell me about it. It was mostly practiced in the ancient times.

In the old times, the Alpha would invite all the females from within and outside his pack on the night of the full moon. Just
