Chapter 34: Welcome Home

Gray felt violated, and her pride crashed before her. She knew she had no say about this or what Judah did. It was her purpose.

To be a substitute mate.

When she got out, her older brother, Indigo, immediately hugged her. Her eyes watered at him. Indigo sniffed her and smelled the difference in her. He had smelled the mixture of Judah's scent and her scent. He then proceeded to smell Judah. Gray could tell that his brother started to frown. He probably didn't smell her scent at him at all.

Indigo didn't say a word. He knew what happened and pulled her little sister into a tight hug.

"Stay warm; call me when you need me. I will always come for you, Gray. You will always be a family, and we will come and collect you when you feel you are being mistreated, okay, Gray?"

Gray nodded and wiped her tears under her eyes before she smiled at him.

The ceremony ended by proclaiming Gray and Judah as official mates. Her family bid her goodbye, and gave them one last hug before joining Judah
