Kisses in the Sun

Diane's POV

My cheeks immediately turned red at this point. I wished the ground would open and swallow me whole.

Kissing Lucius at the church during the wedding ceremony was one thing but doing it here on the beach was another.

My heart made a flip and I felt it drop to my stomach as it started beating erratically.

"Stop teaching my son those kinds of things, Lucas!" Lucius growled and for no reason at all tingles spread to the top of my arm.

"I didn't teach the boy anything. You saw it yourself, he wrote it. I didn't!" Lucas defended himself.

"And when he does that can't you just tell him nicely that it is wrong? You should know...."

The brothers continued to argue in the background but I tuned them out. Because each time Lucius parted his lips to speak, I found my stomach moving funnily.

I was tempted to hold my chest to verify if my heart was still in place because the rate at which it moved scared me.

I was losing my mind.

How could his voice excite me like that?
