"Mother!"

"You have to go to the ball, Vivian. Your father wants you to find a suitor and get married," said Zara, rolling her eyes at her daughter's childish behavior.

"But I don't want to," Vivian pouted, holding her mother's leg.

"You don't want to go to the ball or you don't want to get married?" Zara asked, tying a red thread around Vivian's wrist. Because of her unfilial daughter, she had visited lots of shamans, hoping she could see how her daughter's future would look like. They had told her that she would have a happy and worry free life ahead of her. One had even told her she would get married to her destined husband. But it's been years now and her daughter is still unmarried.

"Both," she cried. All she wanted was just to leave a free life where she won't have to be bound to a man that would turn her into a slave and mistreat her. She was still young and she still has a long life ahead of her, so why is her father so keen on her getting married.
