Shopping with the in-laws

When Isaiah said his sister and cousin take this shopping thing seriously, I thought he was maybe joking or trying to exaggerate to make a point, but he did neither. As soon as we were in the mall Elise and Lillith took my arms and steered me in the direction of a store with gadgets. I look over my shoulder, confusion overwhelming me.

“I thought we were going to buy clothes?” I ask, but the girls just shake their heads.

“Isaiah said you need to be hooked up, girl. That means we are going about this right. You need a phone and a computer at the very least, and we’ll probably get you more.” Lilith explaines while Elise flags down a salesman. Isaiah walks up behind me, possibly feeling my confusion and nerves.

“Relax, little faerie. Let us spoil you.” He whispers in my ear, kissing my cheek.

“But this is not necessary, Isaiah.” I whisper back, but he just leads me along the rows of computers and phones, following Lillith, Elise and the salesman.
