Third POV Like a razor blade, the black wolf sliced through the night sky and landed beside Harper. The majesty of his body and the sharpness of his teeth made the warriors hold their breath in fear and tremble. Without hesitation, he knocked down the warriors on top of Harper, letting out a deafening roar to show them his majesty and fury. Thrown into the air, the warriors retreated in panic, their eyes full of fear and surprise, they had never seen such a powerful wolf. The black wolf used his sharp claws to easily cut through the ropes that bound Harper, and then he gently touched Harper's cheek with his warm nose, as if to comfort her. "Don't worry, I'm here. I won't let them hurt you." He said in that voice again, but this time only Harper could hear. "Wyatt?!" "It's me, Harper. I'm back." The black wolf nodded and then strolled down, "Hold on my back and I'll take you away." Harper had a hard time describing what she felt inside at that moment. She recognized the
Third POV At the bottom of the cliff, Wyatt and Harper huddled close together. The cave they were hiding in dark and damp, with only a faint light coming through the crack in the mouth of the cave. It was covered with a thick growth of plants and vines that acted as a natural barrier between the cave and the dangers of the outside world. Harper breathed nervously and listened intently to what was going on outside. The howling of the wolves began to decrease, and she finally breathed a sigh of relief when the wolves' voices faded completely into the night. Luckily, when she had followed Dr. Laura to pick herbs earlier, she had found this secret cave hidden under the cliff. It was in this way that they were able to fool the eyes of Carter and his warriors, allowing her and Wyatt to temporarily avoid being hunted. Feeling the scent of the wolves getting farther and farther away and making sure they were out of danger, Wyatt shed his fur and shifted back. He quickly walked over
Third POV "How did you know about that?" Wyatt's tone was full of surprise. "Your brother came to tell me himself!" Harper replied angrily, her face filled with anger and sadness. "You mean Simon? Did he approach you? What did he do to you?" Wyatt grabbed Harper's shoulders and asked urgently. "Harper, you can't trust a word that bastard says." His eyes narrowed with concern. He knew better than anyone what tricks Simon would use to achieve his goals. But Harper thought it was Wyatt's excuse. She broke free of Wyatt's embrace and all the emotions she had tried to hide exploded. "Stop lying to me. I called you last time, and it was your fiancée who answered." "What?" Wyatt was confused; he had never been alone with Ava. How did she get his phone? Suddenly, Wyatt remembered the time Ava had broken into his room. He cursed inwardly. Damn it! He had underestimated the cunning of that fox princess. "No. Harper, no. Listen to me, I won't marry anyone except you." W
Third POV "So, he started poisoning you when you were thirteen until now?" Wyatt's voice was filled with incredulity and anger. His eyes glinted dangerously, as if they were ready to burn at any moment. He tightened his grip on Harper's hand. Harper forced out a smile, "From the time I escaped. But we don't have to worry about that now. Because, right now, he only wants to kill me." She tried to make her words sound lighter, but her voice trembled, revealing the fear and frustration she felt inside. Wyatt knew Harper was trying to comfort him, but he didn't want to. He can't wait to find Carter and rip him to shreds. His wolf was already floating on the surface, snarling and wanting to break out of his body and avenge his MATE. He held a trembling Harper tightly in his arms, "It's okay, Harper. No longer force yourself to pretend to be strong. Remember what you and I said, anyone who doesn't know how to show weakness is not really a strong person. In my arms, you can always fee
Third POV After listening to Scarlett's analysis, Wyatt clenched his fist, furious that someone within the palace had conspired with witches. But after all these years, there was finally progress. Whoever had killed his mother, he would make them pay a painful price. Wyatt stood up and said to Harper, "Harper, I have to leave to take care of some things. Scarlett will look after you. " Harper nodded calmly on the surface, but her heart was in turmoil. She wondered if she should tell the 'truth' that Carter had told her with scarlet eyes that day, the part about the witch. Part of her thought it was a complete lie from Carter. Maybe Carter was wrong, he shouldn't have treated her this way. But the strange power she had unleashed at that time seemed to indicate that her lineage might truly be more complicated than she thought. These conflicting thoughts entangled her mind, preventing her from opening her mouth. In the end, she chose to remain silent, watching Wyat
Third POV Noah smelled that familiar scent again, a breath that made his blood boil and his soul tremble. It belonged to his mate, only she could give off such a scent. He could see her shape and hear her heartbeat. This time, he felt her presence more than ever. His eyes were filled with longing and fever. After so many years, this moment had finally arrived. He couldn't contain his excitement and let out a roar, wanting to rush over to possess her, to mark her, to make her his own. He urged Wyatt madly to move, but Wyatt kept his sanity. Wyatt said that she was still weak and that they would have to wait until she was fully recovered before they could do the marking. However, the strong desire made Noah unbearable, and he gathered all his strength to try to break through Wyatt's restraints and take control of Wyatt. Wyatt felt his body shift uncontrollably and asked in horror, "What are you going to do, Noah? This is not the time for you to come out!" Noah, however, com
Third POV Groups of warriors surrounded them like an impenetrable wall. Harper felt Wyatt grip her hand tightly as if he wanted to crush her bones. The tense atmosphere made her heart beat faster like it would jump out of her chest. "Don't make me say it again, kneel down!" A voice echoed from high above, rattling the air like thunder. Harper felt a pressure that was so strong that she could barely catch her breath. It was an absolute order that everyone had to obey. She saw all the warriors kneeling on the ground as if they were paying homage to a god. Harper's body shook and she felt an unspeakable fear that something was about to happen and it wouldn't be good. Her eyes fought their way through circle after circle of warriors in search of the source of the sound. It was a luxuriously dressed man, his eyes sharp as knives, making people afraid to look at him directly. Had these people been sent by Carter? But their uniforms and insignia are completely different from t
Harper's POV Smelling damp and moldy, I opened my eyes and found myself in total darkness. Oh yes, the soldiers threw me straight into the dungeon. I thought I was going to die. The severe pain in my ribs reminded me that the beating I had just received was real. It was the first time I'd set foot in King City, but I didn't expect to be trapped in this gloomy cell. Everything around me made me feel scared and hopeless, but what made me even more disturbed was the truth I had just learned. Wyatt is a prince. The business union he's talking about turns out to be the one that concerns the most people in the werewolf world. He was a prince through and through. What he had said about not wanting me to suffer with the knowledge of that information. A lump formed in my throat. Wyatt was right. Knowing that made me more miserable. No, it was despair. There was no possibility for us. I repeated it over and over in my mind until tears filled my eyes. Now, it's all over. I burst into
