Chapter 14: Don't Deny Me

“No. Sorry, mister! You are staying on the sofa downstairs,” Alana suggested while guarding the entrance to her bedroom.
“Why?” Alric asked with his impressive arms folded against his chest, his long and wavy hair falling down to his broad shoulders. “I thought we already talked about trusting me.”
Both had already changed into their sleeping wear, ready to rest for the night. Alana was in her usual silk nightgown, with a robe over her frame, whereas Alric wore a white tank top and pajamas from his waist down.
Alric's attire showed off the muscles on his biceps and highlighted his lean abdomen, and that made Alana further uneasy. He was so sexy; she doubted if she could stand her ground.
