Mathew takes off his tie and tosses it on a chair, then goes back to cutting the vegetables.

"You have always complained that I never told you about..."

She interrupts him immediately.

"Please stop. I understand completely the reason you have been reluctant to share information about who you really are, so you can stop feeling bad about it."

Mathew watches her for a moment, then returns his attention to the task.

His kitchen is very small but very neat and organized. In the pack house, there are two kitchens, each of them as large as a kitchen could ever be made, but Emily thinks she prefers being in this tiny one with Mathew. She would prefer to be here any day.
