Unforgettable Moment

"I am glad you like it." Mathew says, getting up from the table. Emily glances at his plate, noticing that he has emptied it. She nods in approval because she thought he looked a bit starved when he came to the pack a few hours ago. Other people wouldn't have noticed that he was a bit malnourished, but Emily knows Mathew inside out, she is quick to tell when something's amiss.

"What made you come up with the name Mathew, anyway? Of all the names out there."

"I heard it was my dad's name. I needed to feel connected with him in some way, and that's the reason I took his name, not that I like it any better."

"But your father's name was Sebastian, or did I not get that correctly?" she frowns and rises from the table as well.

"I mean the man who was my mother's mate."
