Arabella's PoV

I thought she would say something bad but instead, what I heard her say was that he needed food.

"He is hungry '' were her words. I sprang from my feet, walked to her and stared deep into her eyes.

"So what you're saying to me is that he is okay and well. He is fine"

She nodded. I covered my mouth to stop myself from gasping out loud.

"Thank you to both you and your sister. I never would have done this without both of you. I am so grateful. Thank you"

I indulged her in a hug which she quickly tore away from.

I tried again but then, she warned me not to do that again. I agreed.

My mind lingered to where the witch was.

"Is Mary still trying to clean his wounds?" I asked innocently.

Mary laughed. She held her waist and laughed again.

"No, she's not. In fact, the thing is he is…."

I did not bother to listen. She pushed past the witch and made her way to their house.

I barged in, "Where is Asher? What is going with him?"
