Chapter Thirty One: Hurt

Simply saying I was annoyed would be an understatement to explain how furious I was at the moment.

I don't think that I've ever been this upset at any point in my life, and it was so bad to the point that I didn't think I could carry on with whatever was going on at the party.

On realizing that I was no longer in that state of mind, I quickly left the party hall and returned to the packhouse. I didn't want anyone to see me leaving, because I knew it was only going to warrant questions when the last thing I wanted was to have anybody question me.

After successfully living without anyone spotting me, I made my way to the packhouse, ran into my bedroom, and as soon as I got in, I slammed the door behind me, locked the door shut, and burst into tears without even realizing it.

I hated the fact that I was starting to feel so frustrated with myself, even going as far as wondering if there was something wrong with me.
