Chapter Thirty Three: Giving In

Lucas pulled me closer, pressing me firmly against his body. His arms wrapped around me, and as his kiss intensified, I could feel the warmth of his body through the layers of clothes separating us.

I was lost; I didn't even realize what was happening until my body reacted involuntarily. It began with a slight tingle beneath my skin, growing into a fire burning deep within my core.

My wolf's growl vibrated throughout my body. She demanded I accept Lucas' embrace and let him consume me. My wolf responded with a desperate whine, pleading with me to let go of my self-respect and do something irrational.

The heat coursing through my veins threatened to overtake my rationality, and I could feel my control slipping away.

The realization dawned on me: I couldn't suppress my feelings much longer. I pushed away from him, breaking the kiss reluctantly, as if the slightest touch would burn me. As soon as my lips parted, the coldness of the night air hit my face, sending shivers down
