The party had started, and just like I expected, I hadn't stopped following my father around like some new toy he was waiting to show off.

I knew it wasn't his fault or anything because he was only trying to help me be more connected, but I still found it really annoying that I never really got to enjoy these parties without having to follow my father around like some trophy that needed to be shown off.
