In the short transition between sleep and wakefulness, just a few seconds before Era woke up completely, a fleeting memory crossed her mind. It was about Oscar, his things in her room and his arrival at one in the morning.

Era opened her eyes, and thanks to that memory, she wasn't at all surprised to find the room different. She had gone to another room after her fight with Oscar last night.

At that time, Era was sure that it would be pointless to continue the argument with Oscar. So, she decided to leave and just sleep. She believed that enough rest would help her be more patient in dealing with all of Oscar's illogical actions.

"What a crazy man," she muttered.

Just as she was about to get out of bed, she shifted but realized that her body was immobilized and couldn't move. She lowered her face to see a pair of hands wrapped around her waist. Damn it! I should have remembered to lock the bedroom door.
