I stayed in my room working while keeping my ears down to hear her leave the room but the sound of the door opening never came.

I tapped on the keyboard furiously, channeling my anger to it.

Why was she so difficult?

How did a simple question as that have her flare up so much?

She was just so unpredictable.

I scowled deeply.

My phone rang, pulling me out of my thoughts.

I pressed the green button and placed it against my ear.

“What?” I growled into the speaker.

“Alpha. The first part of the proposal as been corrected. I'd like to run it through you to see if we should go ahead with the rest or if there are any changes you'd like to implement,” Jason said, going straight to the point. “Would you want me to email it to you or come around and….”

“Email it!” I replied immediately and ended the call.

I intended on keeping Jason away from my house as much as possible.
