Baby complications.

Scott pov:

My heart rate accelerated, and on impulse, I rushed to catch Emma before she fell to the ground and caused another casualty.

“Doctor, please help!” I yelled frantically. I was so scared for the lives of both the child and Emma. I sat on the floor and cradled her in my arms, and she lay on my chest. “Kendrick, call the doctor, please.“ I literally had to push him to get going. He quickly opened the doctor’s door and went in. We were just outside the doctor’s office when Emma became unconscious.

Momentarily, two nurses in purple scrubs hurried over, carrying her up from my body. The doctor came out of the door with Kendrick behind.

“Nurses carry her to my office and seat her down on a chair." Doctor Pearson instructed the nurses and paved the way for them to pass. Some of the people who were passing paused to see what was happening. I didn't bother at this point; I just wanted to be sure that Emma and the baby were fine.
