***Alpha Xavier's POV***

As soon as I got into the woods, I suddenly noticed them gathering around me. They are wary of the unknown. They must be thinking that I didn't come alone.

Though they gathered around, they didn't dare to come near me.

“Where is your leader?!”

I asked while looking at them. They all stared at one another and snarled at me instead.

“So, your leader isn't here, and you had the nerve to stop me from leaving?”

They snarled again.

“Tell me where your fucking leader is, else you all will die by my hands one by one,” I stated and quickly took out my dagger.”

“You don't need to get too worked up, Alpha. Their leader is here,” a voice said from behind.

I quickly turned around and saw this do called leader of theirs walking towards me with arms crossed behind me.

“Oh, so you are the new leader?”

“Nope. I have always been the leader. The one you killed only took my place. Should I be glad that I was sensible enough not to take the lead back then?”
