**Alpha Xavier's POV***

“Alpha, are you okay? You look like you barely slept last night.”

“Do you expect me to sleep after what happened to the pack? The dead bodies, the survivors who had gone missing.”

“Talking about survivors, the others who survived in the pack, had suddenly left with some pack soldiers.”

“Did you try to stop them?” I managed to ask, my emotions threatening to take the best part of me.

“I did, but they wouldn't listen to me. It seemed as though their minds had been made up. They don't plan to stay in a destroyed pack. They believed the Vulcan Pack was gone. What do we do, Alpha?”

“Beta Drake, you've been the best of all the betas I've seen. And it's an honor for me to have you serve me. But now that it has come to this, I wouldn't hold you responsible if you decided to leave now. In fact, I want you to leave. I want you to go to a pack that will appreciate you better than I ever did.”
