Chapter 102: Milly
I start to regain consciousness; the effects of the drug Aria gave me wearing off and I can hear her arguing with someone. “You promised to return my daughter if I brought you the angel. I want my daughter back now!” she yells, and I can hear the panic in her voice. “You will get your daughter back, IF the angel cooperates and IF you keep your mouth shut. You raise any alarms, and we’ll kill her without another thought.” The gravelly voice that answers her is menacing and I have no doubt he will make good on his threat. Aria sobs and screams out in frustration, and I imagine her pulling at her hair and gripping her stomach trying to hold herself together.
