Alaric's POV

"Are you surprised?" I asked Alana, who had her eyes widened, and she stared at me.

She was completely startled that she remained frozen, and I could assume for her that she knew there was no other place to run to now.

"Now the cat has gotten your tongue?" I found myself laughing at her predicament. Something about Alana was just funny to me.

I couldn't tell if it was the fact that she was scared of me.

Or could it be because I could sense another emotion, which was arousal inside of her?

She had intertwined feelings, and I could sense the eclecticness between each of them.

"What are you doing in my room?" She asked after she released her breath, bit after bit, in a shaky tone.

Hm. It seemed she had finally found her voice.

"This is my palace, my pack house. There is nothing that I cannot do anywhere. All places and spots belong to me." I said.
