Forty Seven

Calla's POV

Still on my bed, covered in blankets, I heard a knock on the door. I answered and rose to see Lucian already standing at the doorway. He smiled at me and came inside, then settled on one edge of my bed

"How did your tour go?" He asked.

"It was wonderful," I replied. "I saw so many beautiful things. The paintings and sculptures were amazing, and the library was fascinating."

"I'm glad you enjoyed yourself," he said as he asked unexpectedly. "What did you think of the weapons room?"

I was surprised he knew I went to the weapons room.

My face flushed with embarrassment as I remembered my little accident. "It was interesting," I said hesitantly. "I may have accidentally cut myself on one of the swords."

Lucian chuckled. "I hope it wasn't too bad," he said as he took my hand and examined the cut.

"It's just a small scratch," I reassured him. "It's already starting to heal."

Lucian nodded and then asked, "Did you see anything else that caught your attention?"
