When Alicia left with Travis and Emily, I phoned Silas demanding that we meet up at the football field. That place had become my favourite meeting point with him because the setting was perfect to keep our conversation confidential and less suspicious.

I arrived at the field at twelve o’clock noon that day; luckily the cloud was moist but despite that fact the games were still ongoing. Upon my arrival I spotted Silas seated on a swing just a few meters away from the youths who were playing football.

“Silas,” I said when I got to where he was seated.

He made the same irritated look when he saw me. I knew that we would never get used to our smell. “Marcus, why have you called me?” he asked.

“Yesterday, when I asked you to hypnotize Kelvin, did you do it?”

“Yes, I did,” he replied.

“No you didn’t,” I interrupted him. “If you took away the memories of that night from him then how is it that he still knows about it?”
