I watched him shiver and dread at my sight, the shock thrust him backward to the floor, I read the traces of fright in his eyes, I saw how badly he wanted to move, I saw how badly he wanted to disappear but his legs betrayed him.

He hopped off the floor, taking a few quick steps which landed him back on the ground and afterwards his feet were steadied as he fled from my presence. His wails resounded in the forest like that of a night bird as he went on and on.

I was glad that I had brought him this far from home else it would have been a complete disaster. His reaction was not unexpected so I pursued after him. I tracked him from afar to make sure that I didn’t startle him so much, I did it in hopes that after a while his strength will fail and when he is at my mercy he will have no other choice than to listen to me.
