Firstly, Silas’s mother called me a stinging red wine. From our conversation earlier it was obvious that she was hiding something from me. Even when I mentioned the name Flynn her eyelashes flickered.

There was definitely something wrong and I have to find out what it is. After all, I am the daughter of a cop, so I have to handle this myself.

I didn't know I would find myself in this position but I had to keep my eyes on Suzy. I had to find out the truth.

That morning it was still snowing boisterously and I was in a cab a few meters away from her house. I was waiting for Suzy to leave the house and when she did I instructed the cab driver to follow her vehicle.

We followed her from a distance, the ride seemed unending and the road was unfamiliar. I didn't know such a place existed in California. It was lonely and further away from the city.

I watched her vehicle stop before a large estate as she stepped out of the car then walked in through the gate.
