TAKING A TRIP WITH MY SON

It was five o’clock in the morning when I awoke from sleep. Everything Alicia had told me were still fresh in my memory, I still recall everything she told me about our son. I thought about it and I knew that I had to do something to ease that pain. Of course I was afraid of what would happen if I set my eyes on our boy again but no father was supposed to fear his child, no matter how dangerous he seemed.

I looked sideways at Alicia, she was still fast asleep. I could tell she went to bed still feeling upset, I could tell because of the frown on her face. Staring at her I recalled the look on my mother’s face on the day I was banished from Catalina Island. Nothing hurts a mother more than seeing her husband and her child not getting along.
