Chapter 21

"Get up!" Alpha Maximus said as he hastily dressed.

My eyes quickly went away from Marcel, and I ran over to my bed feeling so ashamed and red-faced for what he had caught us almost doing. I sat at the front of the bed breathing heavily and distressed by the embarrassing situation. I felt breathless. I lowered my head and stared sadly at the floor.

"What is it you want, brother?" I heard Alpha Maximus ask Marcel. "Couldn't it wait until later?"

I slowly raised my head to peek at Zeta Marcel. On seeing great anger in his eyes, I immediately returned my eyes to the floor and my hand began to shake. It was hard to look him in the eyes.

"Gilliard is here," I heard Marcel's brief response.

My eyes closed tightly, and I bit my bottom lip, as I heard nothing but hurt and pain in his voice. I felt so ashamed and miserable. I immediately came off the bed and sat on the floor where no one could see me. It was quite stupid and very childish of me to do so, but being in a position like that,
