Chapter 19 | Knowledge
Bryce
I wake up this morning excited to go and be with my mate. My body feels as if it’s buzzing with excitement to just be in her presence. I get dressed quickly and move out the door to go find her when I’m stopped by Peyton. Her eyes look worried and she says, “Hey, we need to talk.”
I frown, not really wanting to deal with family matters today, but also knowing that right now it’s best for Peyton and I to stick together. Plus, I know she found her mate yesterday and although she doesn’t know that I know, I do. And I don’t want her to feel like I don’t care about these big moments in her life.
I nod and follow her into her room and she says, “I found my mate.”
I give her a smile and say, “That’s wonderful, Peyton! Congratulations.&r
