Chapter 30

For hours we drive in awkward silence. Brutus turned the radio on at one point, but Liam growled when a boy band song came on, which amused Brutus. For shits and giggles, Brutus turned it up and Liam then stuck his fist through the radio, ending the feud that had barely started. Axel has stayed in the same position, pushing himself further into the car door window to escape my presence. 

I don’t blame him, but it doesn’t mean I like it either. Since completing our bond, my need for his physical touch has steadily increased. It’s as if my wolf can’t stand to not have access to him, and since he has closed his mind off to us, the tingles of our contact are the only solitude we have. My stomach growls as I cover it with my hand, frowning. 

“When are we stopping to rest?” I ask Brutus, who is still pouting about the radio, literally being taken out.
