Gabriel was stern as he ordered everyone in the room with a phone to begin dialing any contact they had in the Blood Moon pack. He was insistent that we needed to speak with the Alpha, my father, as soon as possible. A few people moved to the conference room across the hall, but Parker, Gabriel, and I remained in the office with Oliver.

I watched him shift, his chains rattling as he pulled at them with irritation. His head tilted to the side, and the burn marks under the collar stood out in a bright red. "Alpha Gabriel, can we at least take the chains off? He just proved that he was willing to cooperate and was telling the truth."
